Sister Pacifica Chunmin Sun
Chunmin Sun is also a Catholic Nun, and her religious name is Sr. Pacifica Sun ( She is one of the St Joseph of Cluny Sisters). Before the year 2000, she was a clinical physician and worked in the medical field for several years. Afterwards, she left China and went to the Philippines. Upon completing her training, she made her vows and officially became a Catholic nun, working in acupuncture in the Philippines. In 2010, she was assigned to New Zealand, where she has been serving ever since. Sr. Pacifica has a wide range of expertise, including clinical medicine, acupuncture, and traditional Chinese medicine. She has extensive clinical experience in both acute and chronic diseases. With her unique skills and techniques, as well as her comprehensive understanding of both Western and Chinese medicine, she is able to provide patients with thorough, detailed, and accurate diagnoses, offering precise and effective treatment plans tailored to their needs. These treatments may include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and traditional Chinese therapies such as cupping, gua sha, and ear acupuncture therapy. Based on her clinical experience, her specialties include gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics, and musculoskeletal diseases etc. She is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
